County Offices to Close for Thanksgiving

Buncombe County Government Offices will be closed November 24 and 25 for Thanksgiving.

Buncombe County Public Libraries will be closed November 24 through November 26.

Household Hazard Waste and Electronics Recycling at the Landfill will be cancelled for Friday, November 25. The Landfill and Transfer Station will be open on their regular schedule.


Regional Bicycle Plan Kickoff

Everyone is invited to attend the kickoff meeting of the Regional Bicycle Plan on November 30 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Haywood Community College High Tech Center, 112 Industrial Park Drive in Waynesville. (Exit 104 off US 74, 5 minutes to I-40, 30 minutes to I-26). 

This plan will provide the vision for regional bicycle infrastructure, improvements and available funding.
