If you've been reading the news, you know that the City and County are still at odds over the water issue. Who owns the water? Should residents outside the City limits have to pay more for water? Will all this impact me?

Unfortunately we see it every day. A cup here. A piece of paper there. Trash is everywhere on our roadways throughout the county. No one likes to see it but what can we do about it?

CSI--Buncombe County

If you are a fan of any of the CSI shows, you'll be interested to know that Buncombe has it's own CSI. These folks collect evidence at the crime scene that can be a major factor in the outcome of a trial.

Got Pine Trees?

It's not too late! The Buncombe County Soil & Water Conservation District has scheduled more chances to buy white pine seedlings!

You can rent shelters at the following locations:

• Buncombe County Sports Park ($15 per hour or $50 per day)
• Lake Julian ($35 for a small and $50 for a large)
• Recreation Park ($35)

You can rent a maximum of 5 dvds and 5 movies at one time at any library branch. Feature films cost $1 per rental and all other movies are free. There are plenty of children movies available. For more information please call 250-4700.
