What is an RSS Feed?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an easy way to keep up with your favorite news and information. An RSS feed contains headlines, summaries and links to full news stories on websites.

RSS allows you to see when sites from all over the internet have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and articles in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to remember to visit each site every day.

Buncombe County now offers nine RSS feeds containing information on health alerts, job openings, front page news and individual department news. The feeds can be found on our RSS Feeds page. Still have questions? Visit our RSS Help page.

Answer to this week's Trivia Question:
 Question:

Who was the youngest person ever to be President of the United States?

 Answer:

While many mistakenly say that John F. Kennedy was the youngest president of the United States, this is in error. He was the youngest president ever elected to the presidency at the age of 43.

However, Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest man to serve as president when he took over after William McKinley's assassination. He was 42.
