Canning Low and High Acid Foods - July 30

Census Forms Printed This Month
 

The first 2010 Census forms begin rolling off the presses in July in preparation for Census Day — April 1, 2010. The forms are the shortest in census history, with just 10 questions requiring about 10 minutes to complete. 10 Questions in 10 Minutes in 2010.

Pack Library Closed on July 25
 

Pack Library will be closed on Saturday, July 25 for Bele Chere.

All branches of the Buncombe County Public Library system will be open.

Bele Chere Parking Proceeds to Benefit Special Olympics
 

Park close to the center of Bele Chere activities and help out Special Olympics at the same time -- park in the Graybar Bele Chere parking lot for just $5! Half of the proceeds will benefit Buncombe County Special Olympics.

The parking lot will be available from Friday July 24 through Sunday, July 26. It is located on Hilliard Street, just a block from The Orange Peel. The cost to park is $5 per car.
