Buncombe County Parks & Recreation Services has seven river parks located on the French Broad River in various locations. Each park has picnic tables and grills. For more information please call 250-4260. Our Detention Facility is a busy place. The Buncombe County Detention Facility averages around 100 people arriving and departing per day! County offices are closed on Labor Day. Buncombe County Offices will be closed on September 5 in observance of Labor Day.
